Job Description

Job Purpose

Full-time Shift Operational hours Ensure inventory accuracy across all divisions and storage zones (dry, chilled, frozen) by keeping physical stock aligned with Odoo, managing counts, near-expiry stock, and scrap, and resolving discrepancies — working from the receiving and returns data captured by the Stock Receiving Staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Accuracy & Stock Control Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records in Odoo across dry, chilled, and frozen zones. Reconcile physical stock against system balances and keep SKU/data integrity clean (correct in-stock SKU used).

2. Stock Counts & Cycle Counts Plan and conduct cycle counts and full stock counts per schedule and management requests (by brand, product condition, and category), including fast-moving lines such as Thai fresh.

3. Quality Control in Storage (Ongoing QC) Conduct periodic quality checks of stored fresh fruits and vegetables — monitor freshness, condition, and shelf life, and trigger rotation, markdown, or removal to reduce spoilage. Perform ongoing QC on dry goods in storage — check packaging, condition, and expiry as part of cycle counts and near-expiry control. Maintain QC records and feed findings into near-expiry and scrap decisions.

4. Near-Expiry & Scrap Control Maintain and update the near-expiry file/list and coordinate the near-expiry checking cycle with the picking team. Drive scrap reduction (rotation, markdown, re-export, or destruction) and prepare scrap reports.

5. Reconciliation & Discrepancy Investigation Investigate stock mismatches — including discrepancies flagged by the Stock Receiving Staff at goods-in and returns — trace root causes, and correct inventory records. Support outbound record accuracy (picked vs. invoiced quantities).

6. Reporting & Coordination Generate Odoo stock reports — reorder point, days of cover, and stock-movement analysis. Coordinate with the Stock Receiving Staff, logistics, procurement, and division teams. Boundary with the other role: The Stock Controller does not perform physical goods or returns receipt, nor incoming QC at the gate — those are owned by the Stock Receiving Staff. The Controller performs ongoing QC of stored stock, reconciles, counts, and audits the resulting inventory.

Qualifications, Skills & KPIs

Diploma/degree in supply chain, logistics, or business (or equivalent experience); 2+ years in stock control/inventory, preferably FMCG or F&B distribution.

Hands-on ERP experience (Odoo preferred); strong Excel; high numeracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of dry/chilled/frozen handling, fresh produce quality standards, and FEFO / near-expiry practices.

KPIs: inventory accuracy (system vs physical), count completion vs schedule, spoilage/quality-related scrap reduction, discrepancy resolution time.

Pay: AED4,000.00 per month
