Job Title: Senior Procurement Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Procurement Engineer to oversee subcontract and trade package procurement for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will manage the entire subcontract procurement process, from tendering to contract administration, and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders. Knowledge of the UAE construction market, strong negotiation skills, and a focus on cost-effective procurement are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end tendering for subcontract and trade packages.
• Develop procurement strategies in coordination with various teams.
• Prepare comprehensive tender packages.
• Identify and manage subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals.
• Lead commercial negotiations.
• Prepare procurement recommendations.
• Coordinate with Cost Control Department for budget compliance.
• Administer contractual documentation.
• Monitor awarded subcontracts.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Support procurement efficiency initiatives.
• Mentor junior procurement engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional procurement certification (CIPS or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience:

• 7-10 years of UAE construction procurement experience.
• Experience in managing procurement for large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of subcontract tendering and UAE subcontractor market.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical and commercial evaluation skills.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Understanding of construction contracts and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple procurement packages efficiently.
