Job Description

The Pool Maintenance Lead Specialist is a highly skilled field expert tasked with enhancing service quality in designated routes and teams. This position involves training technicians, conducting quality assurance (QA) inspections, and ensuring route coverage when necessary. The Lead Specialist guarantees that pools meet company standards, fosters technician growth, and enforces consistency in operations.

Training & Development

  • Train technicians on pool maintenance standards, chemical balancing, equipment handling, and safety protocols
  • Provide field coaching and ride-alongs
  • Reinforce company processes and best practices
  • Identify skill gaps and deliver targeted retraining

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Conduct routine QA inspections on serviced pools
  • Evaluate water chemistry, cleanliness, equipment functionality, and overall pool presentation
  • Document QA findings and offer actionable feedback
  • Collaborate with managers to address recurring performance issues

Route Coverage

  • Fill in for open routes, PTO, call-outs, and peak work periods
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned pools to standard
  • Assist in stabilizing service quality in underperforming routes

Operational Support

  • Act as a pool troubleshooting expert in the field
  • Support managers in onboarding, performance enhancement initiatives, and issue escalations
  • Maintain accurate service records in company systems like Skimmer and ServiceTitan
  • Ensure proper chemical, tool, and equipment usage

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in water chemistry, pool cleaning techniques, and basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach others effectively
  • Keen attention to detail and quality standards
  • Capability to work autonomously and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
