Specific Responsibilities Would Include:
The ideal candidate for the Production Manager role should have a deep understanding of production processes, product development, costing, strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Strategy & Innovation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance global production efficiencies and identify key trends and innovations.
- Perform competitive research, evaluate market trends, and maintain material archives for production.
Operations and Results
- Conduct cost analysis, negotiate with factories for pricing, track production, resolve issues, and optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with merchandising, design, and sales to develop products, ensure margin goals, and enhance production efficiency.
- Lead production costing analysis, negotiate with vendors, and optimize production processes.
- Develop strategies with senior management to increase operational efficiency.
Customers & Relationships
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet production milestones and maintain relationships for operational support.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimize production operations.
- Undertake special projects, travel to factories, and attend trade shows as needed.
Leadership & Teams
- Make effective decisions, analyze data, attract and retain talent, solve problems, and build high-performing teams.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:
- 5+ years of production and sourcing experience, preferably in handbags.
- Strong organizational, communication skills, detail-oriented, creative, and team-oriented.
- Bachelor’s Degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP a plus.
