Job Description

A new Izakaya restaurant and bar is opening in August in DTLA and seeking BOH candidates. The ideal candidates should have exceptional teamwork, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, clear communication skills, flexibility, English proficiency, and at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen. Japanese culinary experience is a plus. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs and standing for long periods.

Essential Functions:

• Follow recipes and SOP for food preparation
• Transfer supplies between areas
• Prepare cooking equipment
• Operate kitchen tools
• Follow food handling procedures
• Receive and inventory supplies
• Clean and sanitize work areas
• Perform assigned duties

Hours: 5 PM - Closing
