Duties

  • Familiar with personal injury law.
  • Knowledgeable about civil law, especially in defamation.
  • Conduct extensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents in various areas such as securities law, immigration law, and tribal law & regulations.
  • Assist in litigation preparation, including evidence gathering, drafting pleadings, and supporting courtroom proceedings.
  • Support environmental law initiatives by reviewing regulations and advising on compliance matters.
  • Handle legal administrative tasks like maintaining case files, updating records, and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with external counsel on complex cases involving patent law, workers' compensation law, or personal injury claims.
  • Effectively use legal research tools to provide accurate and up-to-date legal advice.
  • Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission.
  • Proven experience in various legal practice areas listed.
  • Strong research skills using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
  • Excellent writing skills for producing clear and precise legal documents.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of legal drafting standards and procedures in areas like estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, etc.
  • Experience in negotiation tactics and client counseling preferred.
  • Legal administrative experience supporting efficient case management practices.
