Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Volume Counter on a temporary basis to collaborate with the Route Measurement Officer in collecting data about Letter Carrier routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing offices for a volume count

  • Count letter mail and oversized mail in letter carrier cases on a block basis and record the total

  • Complete Letter Carrier Route sampling forms, gathering information from letter carriers


Key Responsibilities (continued)

  • Weigh mail for letter carrier delivery

  • Support with analysis using a calculator

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 10 or Secondary 4

  • Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills

  • Strong listening capabilities

  • Basic math proficiency

  • Ability to lift up to 23 kilograms (50 lbs)

  • Availability to work for a minimum of 3 hours between 6:00 am to noon

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, punctuality, and professionalism

  • Strong teamwork and ability to follow instructions
