We are in search of a highly skilled Toolmaker to join our dedicated team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in utilizing various machinery and tools to create, repair, and maintain jigs, fixtures, and tools for both new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create new jigs, fixtures, and tools as per engineering drawings
  • Maintain, repair, and enhance existing jigs, fixtures, and tools
  • Collaborate with Tooling and Manufacturing Engineers for optimal tooling solutions
  • Provide toolroom assistance to the maintenance department
  • Assist Production during breakdowns
  • Report issues to the Toolroom Supervisor or stakeholders
  • Contribute to the quotation process

Requirements:

  • Proficient in using manual lathes and machines like milling machines, drills, and grinders
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and working with tight tolerances
  • Handy with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operations (Desirable)
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £15.04 per hour

Weekly Hours: 38 hours
