Lorac Construction Ltd. is in search of a skilled Site Superintendent / Journeyperson Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Edmonton, AB! Lorac Construction Ltd. is actively looking for dedicated and experienced Site Supervisors and working journeyman carpenters with a background in commercial construction. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive site supervision experience in commercial construction, with the ability to provide a security clearance and complete necessary screenings.
Ownership of small tools.
Possession of a valid driver's license and access to own transportation.
Expected start date: Immediate.
Successful candidates should have:
Progressive experience in construction site supervision of subtrades and crews, along with a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certificate or equivalent.
Capacity to teach, train, and mentor apprentices.
Experience in managing mid to large-sized crew jobs in commercial construction environments is an advantage.
Proficiency in using general construction tools and equipment.
Ability to interpret and comprehend blueprints.
Concrete and forming experience considered an asset.
Wood framing experience considered an asset.
Experience in doors and hardware is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Capability to organize, oversee, and direct on-site construction activities.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers and subcontractors.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, with First Aid Training and relevant supervisory training/certificates.
Capability to supervise day-to-day field activities as needed.
