Company Overview

Norwesco, a leading manufacturer in North America, specializing in rotationally molded poly and welded steel bulk storage and material handling products, is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational activities of a 25-employee plant, aiming to optimize efficiency and drive profitability. This role involves assessing team performance, operations, and production reports to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful scaling of a growing manufacturing facility.
  • Prioritize Safety, Quality, and Productivity within Tank Holding's operational framework.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels to facilitate information exchange and feedback within the plant.
  • Recruit, train, and develop hourly employees.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Implement a system for managing raw materials, components, and product inventories.
  • Enforce company policies and ensure adherence at all levels.
  • Work with corporate management to execute training and development initiatives at the plant level.
  • Supervise staffing decisions, including hiring, lay-offs, and terminations.
  • Lead investigations on incidents related to injuries, property damage, and near-misses.
  • Collaborate with corporate functions to sustain company profitability.
  • Direct and oversee production, maintenance, shipping, and administrative operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and motivating employees.
  • Prior experience in managing plant safety programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Industry knowledge of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Minimum of ten years in managerial roles.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment operation and maintenance.
  • 5-7 years of progressive manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Experience in managing an ISO certified facility is a plus.


Physical Requirements:

This position entails physical demands that necessitate standing, walking, manual dexterity, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision capabilities are also required.


The work environment may involve exposure to wet/humid conditions, machinery, elevated areas, chemicals, and outdoor settings.


Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel to the US may be required.
