Title: RIS/PACS Analyst

Hours of Work: Temporary Full-Time Position (Approximately 12 months)
Day Shifts: 0800-1600
Pay Band: Band W $49.54-$54.90
Union: CUPE
Location: Kingston General Hospital Site

Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a skilled RIS/PACS Analyst to join our Clinical Information Systems department at the Kingston General Hospital Site. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting imaging department operations, specifically focusing on the Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Support: Collaborate with vendors, users, and departments to provide second-level production support. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operations.
Application Management: Identify opportunities for system enhancements and manage project implementations.
Application Configuration: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain RIS and PACS systems. Develop and document procedures for continuous improvement.
Workflow Analysis and Design: Collaborate with the team to optimize the electronic image workflow across multiple hospital sites.
Interface/Integration: Manage the integration testing of various systems to ensure interoperability.

Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of systems development experience
  • Experience in project management and system development methodologies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in RIS applications and PACS systems
  • Knowledge of coding/billing standards and interface protocols
  • Proficient in MS-Office products
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team
  • Regular attendance and commitment
  • Criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required
