Description:We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced **Construction Planner** to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of our construction projects in water utility and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will be tasked with creating, monitoring, and upkeeping project schedules to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
Proficiency in using MS Project is a must-have for this position. Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and timelines utilizing MS Project, ensuring they align with project goals and scope.
- Regularly update and oversee schedules, identifying and addressing any delays, risks, or conflicts to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Engage with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to obtain input and information for schedule creation and updates.
- Monitor and report on progress against the project schedule, providing consistent updates to the project team and clients.
- Recognize and mitigate project risks through effective planning and prediction.
- Undertake critical path analysis and propose necessary corrective actions to optimize the schedule.
- Support in coordinating resources such as manpower, materials, and subcontractors to ensure streamlined project implementation.
- Assist in generating project reports including performance metrics, schedule adherence, and key achievements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, procedures, and safety regulations during the planning and execution stages.
Skills and Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Construction Planner, preferably in the water utility, industrial, or related domains.
- Proficiency in MS Project is essential, with the capacity to develop, modify, and manage intricate project schedules.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and project lifecycle management.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the versatility to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail.
- Familiarity with other project management tools and software is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in the water utility or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pertinent health and safety regulations.
