Job Summary
The City of North Vancouver aims to be “The Healthiest Small City in the World” and is seeking a dedicated individual to join as a Community Police Clerk (Front Counter) for a period of eighteen months. This role is based at the RCMP Detachment.

Key Responsibilities
Join our team to provide exceptional front-line customer service for the community of North Vancouver and support the RCMP. Duties include creating police files, processing clerical tasks, handling found property, taking fingerprints, utilizing RCMP computer systems, and managing cash transactions. You will also offer guidance to the public, answer inquiries in person and over the phone, and assist in various operational functions at the Detachment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess extensive customer service and clerical experience, a sharp attention to detail, and efficiency in task completion. While previous law enforcement background is advantageous, a strong commitment to community service is essential. Maintaining an RCMP security clearance is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in computer skills and a typing speed of 40 words per minute are preferred.

Salary
$29.48 - $34.63 per hour
(Pay Grade 15 – rates effective from January 2024)

Working Hours
Flexible shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., with meal breaks as per schedule.
