Your key responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging play activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Deliver high-quality care, engaging children through play, supervising school pickups, and leading various activities.
  • Set up play areas by arranging furniture and equipment, and ensure proper tidying afterward.
  • Actively participate as a Keyworker by involving children in planning activities and club decisions.
  • Implement positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and proper conduct of children in your care.
  • Perform observations, evaluations, and maintain accurate records as needed.
  • Assist in snack and drink preparation while upholding food hygiene standards.
  • Administer first aid when necessary.
  • Foster effective communication with organization members, parents, and the school.
  • Maintain a clean, secure, and safe play environment at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to the club's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 (Full and Relevant) Early Years Qualification.
  • Understand the diverse needs of children and families.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, approachability, and friendliness.
  • Work effectively within a team and independently with initiative.
  • Demonstrate common sense and sound judgment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an out-of-school club.
  • Valid Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
  • DBS Update Service registration.

Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
