Glasgow, West End Retail Park

Permanent

20 Hours

We are in search of drivers who have the flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. The standard weekly working hours are set at 20 hours per week, spanning 6 days from Monday to Saturday. Your shifts will cover mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and additional on-call shifts will be required for extra deliveries based on customer demands.

Empowered, satisfied, and motivated – this is the experience you can expect as a Pharmacy Delivery and Collection Driver at Boots.

Your role significance

As a Pharmacy Delivery and Collection (PDC) Driver, your primary responsibility is delivery. This involves transporting medication to customers, collecting prescription forms from doctor's offices, and delivering them to our stores. However, PDC Drivers offer much more; delivering exemplary care to every customer daily. Maintaining the highest professional driving standards and serving as a Boots brand ambassador in the community will be key. Interacting with customers who may not typically visit Boots stores, you will feel a sense of pride in making a genuine difference in their lives.

Your daily activities

Constantly on the move between stores and customers, you will be provided with a fully maintained vehicle and all necessary training and equipment for safe and efficient work. This includes a handheld device for planned routing and navigation. Challenges may arise during the day, such as absent customers, traffic congestion, and flat tires. Additionally, heavy lifting will be required, especially when managing the demanding monthly delivery schedule. Contributing to a unique service will bring you real fulfillment, as this role offers more than standard driving positions.

Your approach

Your responsibility exceeds traditional delivery roles as you handle crucial medication deliveries to vulnerable individuals. Ensuring safe and careful transportation is essential. Customers trust and rely on you to deliver their medication promptly and securely.

Your qualifications

We seek individuals with exceptional interpersonal skills who can be part of a cohesive team. Collaboration is fundamental as our people are the core of our business. Previous driving experience is advantageous but your genuine character, teamwork, and customer dedication are paramount to us.

Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and inclusion are foundational principles guiding our operations. As an equal opportunity employer, we nurture a diverse and inclusive workforce. Various flexible work arrangements are available to help our team members achieve a healthy work-life balance.

This position requires a DBS/PVG check. Boots supports 'Ban the Box' and evaluates the suitability of applicants with criminal records on an individual basis. You will have the opportunity to address this matter with us before a decision is made.
