Job Description


Faculty of Student Affairs - Parking & Transportation Operations at the University of Regina is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Parking Attendant. Join our dynamic team and contribute to ensuring a smooth parking experience for all campus visitors. As a Parking Attendant, you will work collaboratively with Campus Security to uphold parking compliance and provide exceptional service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include patrolling designated parking areas, handling parking compliance vehicles, utilizing technology for compliance monitoring, issuing accurate citations, and assisting with various parking services tasks. This role requires a student enrolled at the University of Regina, with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.   • Patrolling campus parking areas to ensure compliance with parking rules
  • Safely handling compliance monitoring vehicles
  • Utilizing License Plate Recognition technology for monitoring purposes
  • Issuing accurate and complete citations
  • Participating in Provincial Bylaw Court proceedings when necessary
  • Supporting Parking Services with fund collection and emergency incident reporting
  • Assisting with traffic direction during campus events
  • Responding to parking equipment malfunctions
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and following safety protocols
  • Collaborating with security and emergency services as needed
Requirement:
  • Enrolled in a program at the University of Regina
  • Full-time student preferred
  • Minimum GPA of 65%
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
Skills:
  • Customer service experience
  • Security compliance experience an asset
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergencies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Comfort working in a diverse community
  • Completion of job orientation and training program
  • Understanding of parking bylaws and citation procedures
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to patrol on foot and walk long distances
  • Capacity to operate vehicles and lift up to 50lbs
  • Contribution to maintaining signage and vehicle cleanliness
Hours and Pay:
  • Shifts between 8:00am - 11:00pm on weekdays, and 8:00am - 9:00pm on weekends
  • Potential for additional shifts during campus events
  • Up to 40 hours per week, flexibility required
