Every day, over 1,200 individuals work within the YMCA network in Quebec to support those in need of the greatest assistance.
Under the supervision of the program coordination and in direct collaboration with school management, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the substance abuse prevention program. The approach to consumption is harm reduction and adherence to the school's code of conduct.
The challenge we offer:
- Provide individual interventions to high school students facing substance abuse issues.
- Lead prevention workshops for targeted classes and during lunchtime.
- Develop and conduct awareness activities for the entire school.
- Create intervention and animation tools for the program.
- Write reports and summaries.
- Maintain close relationships with the partner school and all school staff.
- Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures governing the protection of children and vulnerable individuals.
- Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy within the role and the Association, and participate in the annual campaign and/or other fundraising events.

The ideal candidate should:
- Hold an undergraduate degree in human sciences (social work, psychology, psychoeducation, sociology, criminology), a specialization in addiction or any other related field.
- Have 1 to 2 years of experience in intervention, specifically with a 12-17 year old clientele.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French.
- Have no criminal record related to the job.
