As the Head of the Partnerships and Fundraising section within the International Relations sector, Diplomatic and Stakeholder Relations group, you will be instrumental in securing sustained support for CERN's scientific and societal initiatives. Reporting to the Director for International Relations, you will lead fundraising campaigns aimed at private donors through the CERN & Society Foundation. Main Responsibilities - Develop and execute fundraising strategies through the CERN & Society Foundation - Collaborate closely with the CERN & Society Foundation Board - Foster relationships with current and potential supporters, solicit contributions, and manage acknowledgment processes - Oversee financial and administrative aspects of fundraising activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards - Lead due diligence procedures and uphold adherence to policies and regulations - Coordinate with various departments and projects within CERN on fundraising initiatives - Supervise the Partnerships and Fundraising team, including recruitment and performance management Qualifications and Experience - Master's degree or equivalent experience in fundraising or a related field - Extensive background in fundraising and partnership-building, preferably at an international level - Proven track record in devising and implementing fundraising strategies, with experience in scientific or technical fundraising being a plus Technical Skills - Proficient in fundraising techniques - Skilled in stakeholder relationship management - Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and team leadership Behavioral Competencies - Strong commitment to achieving results and meeting targets on time - Excellent communication skills and adept negotiation abilities - Prioritizes organizational interests and fosters collaboration across teams - Efficient resource management and commitment to excellence - Proactive in creating strategic partnerships and exploring new opportunities Languages - Fluent in English or French, with the ability to present technical information and reports and conduct oral presentations in either language Location - Geneva, Switzerland - Deadline: July 31, 2024 - Contract Type: Limited Duration (5 years) - Job Grade: 6-7 - Job Reference: IR-DS-PFU-2024-98-LD
