Responsibilities:
Offer advice, guidance, and recommendations on FIPPA interpretation and application.
Coordinate and draft responses to access requests in compliance with FIPPA.
Support and ensure ministry compliance with FIPPA.
Participate in developing training and communications related to access and privacy.
Requirements:
Knowledge of FIPPA and related legislation to provide advice and recommendations.
Familiarity with IPC decisions, guidelines, and best practices.
Ability to analyze records for disclosure, assess personal information initiatives, and offer advice.
Skills in coordinating record retrieval, applying exemptions, and drafting decisions.
Capability to evaluate complex information, interpret FIPPA requirements, assess fees, and develop solutions.
Strong research abilities to identify contentious issues, recommend responses, and track requests digitally.
Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships, provide information, and prepare materials.
Proficiency in time management, organization, and prioritization to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
