Job Description


SWFCCP is seeking a dedicated individual to play a key role in delivering Employability programs, including Traineeships and Community Learning. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about assisting NEETs (those Not in Employment, Education, or Training) in securing employment or transitioning to positive pathways leading to employment. They should have the ability to conduct engaging and innovative sessions to foster the development of learners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the Employability team to achieve organizational targets through program delivery.
  • Attract and retain learners for the programs.
  • Operate in compliance with internal and external quality assurance standards.
  • Evaluate personal performance against program objectives.
  • Generate reports on program impact for funders, partners, and the Community Program.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with GDPR regulations.
  • Update compliance documents for funders.
  • Support the issuance of student correspondence/certificates.
  • Monitor overall student attendance and maintain appropriate registers.
  • Engage with key program partners such as EFL Trust, Job Centre Plus, and DWP.
  • Conduct risk assessments for work placements as required.
  • Undertake work placement visits according to funder guidelines.
  • Coordinate with marketing agencies for website news bulletins.
  • Provide support as needed across the Community Program.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of learners.
  • Promote and adhere to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion practices.
  • Implement safeguarding procedures and policies, addressing and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Participate in continuous professional development.
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Thorough understanding of Employability program aims.
  • Familiarity with barriers individuals face in accessing employment.
  • Knowledge of strategies to engage NEET individuals.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
  • Local knowledge of Sheffield's education and employment landscape.
  • Strong teamwork and work ethic with proficiency in IT systems.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality service to customers.
  • Consistent delivery of work to high standards with a focus on efficiency.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for personal growth and development.
  • Capability to design and develop high-quality schemes of work.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Driven, Resilient, Adaptable, Diligent, Team Player.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
  • PTTLS or equivalent Level 3 teaching qualification (or ability to work towards it)
  • Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.
  • GCSEs in Math and English at 'C' grade or above.
  • Satisfactory DBS check.
  • Emergency First Aid certification.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in delivering education, traineeship, or employability programs.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with challenging and vulnerable young individuals.
  • Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.
