Are you a dedicated and customer-centric individual with administrative expertise who thrives in a dynamic setting? Perhaps you have previous experience working in a polling station, during the count, or have a background in tallying and are curious about the 'behind the scenes' operations?
You will be an integral part of a team responsible for maintaining an accurate electoral register, enforcing statutory protocols, and overseeing the smooth execution of unbiased elections and referendums in the largest local government jurisdiction in the area. You will be contributing your services to an authority with a voter base exceeding 700,000 individuals, spanning across 69 wards and 10 parliamentary constituencies.
Given the enactment of the Elections Act 2022, the Electoral Services realm is both demanding and constantly evolving. You will be supporting the team in implementing the recent legislative changes.
While there will be some flexibility for remote work, particularly outside pre-election and canvassing phases, you will be expected to be present in the office during critical periods, potentially on a full-time basis. These crucial junctures may necessitate working under intense pressure, managing competing priorities, adhering to strict deadlines, and potentially requiring you to work irregular hours. Moreover, taking time off during these peak periods might be limited.
