Job Description


Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Entry/Customer Service Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient intake processes for durable medical equipment, ensuring accurate data entry, coordinating deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will maintain compliance with regulations and uphold precise record-keeping for efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Collecting and verifying patient information.

2. Confirming prescriptions and entering details into the system.

3. Managing data entry tasks:

  • Inputting patient details into the system accurately.
  • Creating and updating patient profiles as needed.
  • Typing prescription information meticulously.

4. Handling document management:

  • Scanning and uploading relevant documents into the system.
  • Updating tags and adding notes for follow-up.

5. Preparing clinical requests:

  • Completing forms with prescriber information.
  • Filling out necessary documents and marking requirements.

6. Coordinating deliveries and installations:

  • Scheduling setups with technicians for specialized equipment.
  • Arranging cost-effective shipping for other items.

7. Preparing billing documents:

  • Collecting signed delivery tickets from patients.
  • Attaching tickets to orders for billing purposes.

8. Providing exceptional customer service:

  • Addressing inquiries about orders, products, and billing.
  • Assisting patients with measurements for custom garments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare or customer service certification is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare or pharmacy, particularly with DME, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry and pharmacy software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance.

Working Conditions:

  • Standing for extended periods may be required.
  • Regular interactions with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Routine use of office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and move equipment.
  • Dexterity for measurements and data handling.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 to 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends.

Experience:

  • 1 year of data entry experience required.
