ROLE: Customs Bureau Clerk

We are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Customs Bureau Clerk. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating innovative solutions and driving the future of our business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate customs entries for goods shipments, including full declarations for imports and exports, transition declarations, and supplementary declarations.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to customers and stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all documentation meets deadlines and process requirements.
  • Handle critical requirements and troubleshoot issues within processing timelines.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files of customs entries for recordkeeping.
  • Manage queries from the Global Service Centre and respond to declaration-related communications from authorities.
  • Send and receive data to and from the Global Service Centre as needed.

Skills & Experience:
  • Desirable experience working in Customs.
  • Knowledge of customs and excise procedures, invoicing, and document handling.
  • Proficient in PC usage, effective communicator with excellent organizational and administration skills.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional customer service.

LOCATION: Hayes
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (shifts – Tuesday to Saturday, 14:00 – 22:00)
REPORTS TO: Customs Operations Manager
CLOSING DATE: 12th July 2024
