This includes creating promotional product-focused films for the online shop, short-form food and recipe videos for social media, and documentary-style interviews to showcase our food story.

The primary focus will be on creating content for our @shopthenewt Instagram channel and participating in the launch of live streams using Firework technology on our online shop. The content will be seasonal, product-centric, and collaborative with other creatives both internally and externally.

We are looking for someone who brings a creative flair to ideation and problem-solving, with strong storytelling skills and technical expertise. The ability to experiment, draw inspiration from various industries, and work seamlessly with different tools for capturing and editing visual content is essential.

You should be a food enthusiast who enjoys exploring new recipes, dining out, and staying updated on industry trends. Being well-versed in social media, especially Meta and TikTok, and adept at working under tight deadlines while collaborating across departments is key. This role will involve capturing diverse activities across the estate, from engaging with farmers and gardeners to collaborating with cheesemakers, cider makers, butchers, and chefs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the E-commerce Design Manager, Head of Marketing, and Media and Creative team to develop innovative content ideas
  • Plan, shoot, and schedule content for our @shopthenewt Instagram using an iPhone
  • Produce and direct interactive Livestream videos across social media and our online shop
  • Shoot and edit short product videos for the online shop, managing pre-production, and file delivery to the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager
  • Utilize Adobe Premier Pro for video editing to create assets for the online shop, pay-per-click advertising, in-store screens, and events
  • Establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain equipment regularly, ordering new items as needed
  • Stay updated on visual content trends to ensure our video output remains innovative and relevant

  • Maintain wellness: access our gym and wellbeing classes at no charge

  • Shop at our estate and online stores with a 30% discount for all colleagues and receive free delivery on online purchases
  • Exclusive benefits like discounted hotel stays for staff, along with a 30% discount at our restaurants
  • The chance to voice your opinions and influence the business through our Employee Engine Room
  • Complimentary garden memberships for the Newt and partner gardens such as the Eden Project, Kew Gardens, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan
  • Enjoy a complimentary meal during shifts made with fresh estate produce by our dedicated staff chefs
  • Recognition of your hard work through our colleague recognition program 'Newt Awards' with opportunities for amazing rewards including complimentary hotel stays
  • Access support from our Employee Assistance Programme for yourself and your family
  • Engage in team-building activities such as monthly Gather and Grow Motivational Speakers and fun squad events like Go-Karting and Wine Tasting
  • Up to 30 days of annual leave each year for full-time team members

Who we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in creating short-form video content for social platforms
  • Thorough understanding of various social media platforms
  • Experience with audio recording and editing
  • Technical insight into video workflows, file types, pre and post-production processes
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro and related Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Creative thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for food and cooking trends
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on creative briefs
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in adapting content for different platforms and audiences
