As a Senior Caseworker based in Surrey, BC, you will play a vital role in connecting clients to essential resources, guiding them towards independence, and providing holistic support through our ASPIRE program.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, you will champion the mission of our ASPIRE program, dedicated to enhancing client development and independence. This program focuses on key areas such as Food Insecurity, Housing, Education, Skills Development, Employment, and Mental Health Support. Your role will involve acting as a bridge between clients, empowering them to achieve self-reliance by accessing the necessary resources.

Your Tasks will Include:

• Engaging and Supporting Clients: Conduct client meetings, assess their needs, create detailed action plans, and assist in their enrolment in the ASPIRE Program.
• Facilitating Resource Connections: Aid clients in activities like navigating public transportation, enrolling in programs or benefits, and receiving cultural orientation.
• Providing Holistic Support: Link clients with suitable services and resources as per their personalized action plans.
• Supervising and guiding volunteer community caseworkers.

• Promoting the Program: Showcase MFBCS and the ASPIRE program through outreach and presentations to businesses, community groups, and other organizations.
• Documentation and Reports: Maintain meticulous records using our digital case management system and generate regular reports on activities and client progress.
• Organizing and leading self-development workshops.

What We Seek:

• Education & Experience: Diploma in Social Services, Psychology, or a related field, with case management expertise, preferably in a non-profit or community service environment.
• Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in Pashtu, Dari/Farsi, and English is highly valued. Ability in clients' native languages is a strong asset.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, adept at designing and implementing client-centric action plans.
• Qualities: Compassionate, devoted, client-oriented, with a profound understanding of and respect for Muslim cultural sensitivities.
