Job Description


Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Career Services Officer to provide career guidance and support to undergraduate students. As part of the Faculty of Information and Media Studies (FIMS) Undergraduate Student Services (UGSS) unit, you will play a key role in developing and delivering programs and services that enhance the student experience and facilitate career exploration. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the undergraduate internship program, building relationships with industry partners, and guiding students towards successful career paths post-graduation.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Media Studies, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Certificate, Diploma, or professional designation related to Career Development or Human Resources
  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Counselling, Psychology or a related field preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in higher education program coordination
  • Experience in career advising, relationship building, and using technology for marketing
  • Knowledge of job market trends and career development theories
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills

Note: A valid G Ontario Driver’s License and access to a car are required for this position.
