Job Description


We are currently seeking a friendly and professional banquet server/bartender to play a crucial role in welcoming, aiding, and serving guests during special gatherings and occasions. As a banquet server/bartender, your responsibilities will include supporting event coordination, preparation, and clean-up, as well as attending to guests' needs, inquiries, and requests.

To excel in this position, you must possess exceptional customer service abilities and strong communication skills. You should maintain a professional demeanor, exhibit courtesy towards guests, and deliver swift and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist guests upon arrival.
  • Ensure guest comfort by addressing queries, taking orders, communicating special requests to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and drinks.
  • Manage buffet stations and replenish food supplies.
  • Guide guests to various amenities and facilities.
  • Assist with event setup, execution, and teardown, which includes arranging and dismantling tables, table settings, and buffets.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Comply with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a server is beneficial.
  • Alberta ProServe certification.
  • Polite and attentive demeanor towards guests.
  • Physical stamina to fulfill job demands, such as standing for extended periods, navigating stairs, and lifting heavy objects like tables and chairs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service proficiencies.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Employment Types: Casual, Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 7-25 per week

Salary Range: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Prior serving experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Prior bartending experience: 1 year (preferred)
