Alo Food Group is looking for a skilled Assistant General Manager to be a part of our team for the grand opening scheduled in August 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive workspace for team members.
  • Supervise the recruitment, training, and mentorship of hourly front-of-house staff, nurturing a positive team culture.
  • Cultivate and sustain excellent relationships with both new and returning guests.
  • Handle wine and beer ordering and inventory management.
  • Lead front-of-house staff during service, maintaining effective communication with the kitchen team.
  • Create schedules for front-of-house staff.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Address guest queries through email and phone.
  • Support the host team in managing reservations.
  • Efficiently work in a fast-paced setting.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar restaurant management position.
  • Well-versed and passionate about wines (considerable knowledge at WSET level 3 or equivalent is preferred).
  • Proficient in administrative tasks like Excel or Google Suite reporting.
  • Background in fine dining or restaurants with a similar service approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
