Overview

This role directly reports to the Director of Asset Management. The Analyst plays a crucial role in generating and analyzing operational and financial reports, monitoring capital expenditures, assisting in the development of annual operating budgets, compiling necessary documentation for property transactions/financing, and handling various special projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assess operational data for strategic evaluation by senior management, focusing on lease activities and return on investments.
  • Support in creating comprehensive quarterly reports and any additional reporting required by management and executives.
  • Analyze financial performance thoroughly and structure data for inclusion in reports, presenting key findings to stakeholders.
  • Aid in the formulation of asset strategies, annual budgets, and aligning them with the asset plans.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis for each asset's submarket, provide insights to the asset management team concerning market conditions, rates, amenities, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to drive revenue and enhance property value.
  • Evaluate expenses, monitor utility consumption, and suggest cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assist in various transactions like acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, coordinating due diligence processes when necessary.
  • Offer analytical support to asset and leasing managers, as well as executives, regarding property-related data.
  • Create presentations for Board members, partners, and internal committees, showcasing quarterly property statistics and key financial metrics.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of all deliverables with the asset manager.
  • Oversee a designated portfolio of single tenant-occupied buildings.
  • Execute other miscellaneous tasks or assignments as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Customer-centric approach and excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Highly ethical with the capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Skilled in fostering cooperative professional relationships and adapting to change.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Yardi Voyager.
  • Prior experience in real estate or commercial sectors is advantageous.
